How Can Someone Protect Their Home From A Vampire?

I’m doing an English assignment and I need to write a Vampire Hunters Guide, and we have to write about protecting your home from a vampire, anyone know any different ways or any good sites that provide information about vampires?

This is a great assignment, I wish I had cool Sh*t like this when I was in school! But since there are so many cultures and stories about vampires all over the world, the data is all different and convoluted. Mostly there are things that hold the same no matter where you look – one being don’t invite them into your house. Garlic also repels them, as do crosses and holy water. So if you were protecting your house from a vampire, you could use those things. I’ve also watched a few old horror movies from the 80’s where a UV sunlamp was used to turn a vampire to ash. I thought that was hysterical!

try vampire.com, vampires.com, vampirerave.com, vampire.monstrous.com, and tons more..that’s all I know off the top of my head. But I think, the cross, holy water, and garlic? But then again it just depends on who your source is.
    =] hope that helped.

  3. Anatketa Says:

Apparently, they cannot enter your home unless invited in by the rightful owner. Hanging garlic around the windows may also help.
Alternatively, get one of those signs with a picture of an attack dog and the words ‘Caution: I live here!” on it, and replace the picture of the dog with one of Van Helsing.

according to the early people’s belief,a home can only be protected only if you will put some garlic unto your door(s),window(s) and other places which will be a possible way for the vampires.A salt would also do and any spices.

  5. June S Says:

Well, according to the stories, they can’t enter your home unless you invite them in anyway.
But other vampire deterrents would be crosses, holy water, and garlic.

  6. Crystal clear Says:

Vampires can be good as well as bad. :) Anyway, I do know garlic is a deterrent coz vamps hate it as well as other spirits. Garlic is protection.

P.D.: Only immature clods believe in “vampires”. And one gave me a beautiful demerit. Love it.

Wolfsbane is another one. It is also good for Werewolves.

Hang garlic from your door knobs on the outside of your house , gargoyles use protection spells!
